General Research Interests: Interaction between electrochemistry
and materials specifically in the areas of electrocatalyst,
corrosion and extractive metallurgy.
Student Participation: I am looking for an undergraduate
researcher to help in one of two areas - development of novel
electrocatalysts for wastewater decontamination and study
corrosion of stainless steel in copper electrowinning solution.
The student will learn basic electrochemical techniques and
sample preparation on both projects.
Background Needed: General laboratory skills and basic
understanding of chemistry would be helpful.
Outside Majors: Chemistry and Materials Science.
Key Words: Electrochemistry, catalysis, thin films,
