General Research Interest: Medical informatics: the
field which deals with computers in medical care. Medical
decision making & using computers to teach medical students.
Student Participation: Work implementing a medical
student and resident teaching experiment, participate in building
a medical "knowledge base", work on medical vocabulary
Background Needed: Computer science background is
not necessary. Good statistics & math helpful. Psychology
& biology training are also useful.
Outside Majors: Psychology, Biology Education, Computer
Science
