General Research Interest: Lesbian/gay/bisexual identity & career development; feminist therapy; survival & coping strategies of child physical/sexual abuse survivors; academic climate for women and people of color; work and career in women with HIV.

Student Participation: Transcribe & analyze qualitative interview data, library research & copying, possibly interviewing. Participate in ongoing research groups. Help with recruitment.

Background Needed: Open mind, maturity (chronological age not an issue). I will train in transcription, analysis, interviewing. Student should have good (avg.-above avg.) computing (word processing/typing) skills & library skills & interpersonal skills.

Outside Majors: Psychology, Social Work, related fields.

General Research Interest: Memory processes that underlie learning & forgetting. Comparison of memory for events, facts & concepts versus memory for skills.

Student Participation: Preparing materials for learning & memory experiments & assisting in data collection.

Background Needed: Interest in the topic & some background in research methods. Computer programming experience helpful but not necessary.

Outside Majors: Psychology, Computer Science.

Key Words: Memory, learning, cognitive science, forgetting.
