Advising

Advising is essential for your success at the University of Utah, and you are encouraged to meet regularly with your academic advisor.  To assure that students are receiving the academic advising they need, all students are required to meet with advisors at various key points in their academic careers. First term freshmen will be required to meet with an advisor to discuss their progress and second term schedule. Second year students will be required to meet with an advisor in the area of their major. Students who have completed  60 or more semester hours with no major or premajor officially declared  will be required to meet with an advisor to participate in a major exploration activity.  Contact University College for more information.
