Scholarships

 

The Office of Undergraduate Studies provides student scholarships and faculty awards.  The student scholarships are managed by Student Initiatives and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP).  See the University Professorship and McMurrin Lectureship links above for more information on those faculty opportunities.

1. STUDENT INITIATIVES:

The following scholarships are administered by Student Initiatives and available to University of Utah students and/or incoming freshmen. Please contact the Scholarship Coordinator for any questions regarding scholarship opportunities with Student Initiatives.

 

NOTE: Applications for the 2010-2011 year are currently being updated for posting. We hope to have most applications available around the end of November with deadlines set for the beginning of February.

2. UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM (UROP)

-   CHARLES H. MONSON ESSAY PRIZE | The late Professor Monson of the university Philosophy Department, a distinguished university administrator, left a bequest to the university to be used to sustain interest in social change. An annual prize of $600 is awarded to an undergraduate student who, in the judgment of a distinguished panel, produces the best research abstract on social change in a specific area of modern life.
