Application Deadlines

General Education and Bachelor Degree Requirement Application Deadlines

Five-Year Reviews:  Undergraduate Studies sends requests at the end of the spring semester to departments with courses that need to have five-year requirement designation reviews.  Five-year renewal reviews are conducted in the fall of every year.  Materials are due  on the fourth Friday of each fall semester.  If materials are not submitted by 5:00 on that Friday, they will not be accepted and the course will lose its designation effective the following fall. You can submit your application online by clicking here

Initial Designation Reviews:  If you are submitting a course for an initial designation review (if the course does not currently have the designation), you will need to call (5-9876) or write to m.standre at ugs.utah.edu and let him know the subject area, catalog number, and name of your course before you can submit your application.  These reviews are conducted in the spring of each year and materials are due on the Second Friday of each Spring Semester.

Fall 2009 Deadline is Friday September 18, 2009

Spring 2010 Deadline is Friday January 22, 2010

(We apologize if you feel this deadline is early, but it is necessary in order to get the application materials submitted, give the committees time to review them, send the new courses on to the Undergraduate Council for their approval, and affix the new courses with the designation before the online schedule is up for the following semester.)
